Electrify Your Music
Week 2: July 10-14, 2017
If you love finding new ways to make your music unique, then join us for Camp KO’s EYM (Electrify Your Music) week. The Music Technology Lab has many of the latest tools for you to make your own music including GarageBand, Ableton Live, and Logic. You can also explore sound design for video, live recording, MIDI controllers, Ipads, digital drums, and other instruments. End the week with a collection of new original music!!
For students entering grades 5–11. Minimum enrollment 6; maximum enrollment 10.
Program runs from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Cost: $495; Early Bird Discount $445 until March 15
Instructor: David Zucker has been studying music since childhood. He grew up in Bloomfield and graduated from KO in 1988. He studied music performance and composition at Skidmore College and later studied Indian music in Madras, India. David’s first instrument was the piano, but he has considerable experience on guitar, as well. His influences are diverse and include classical, jazz electronic, rock, and electronic music.
David has had success as a performer, producer, and composer. He spent many years as a working musician in both San Francisco and Seattle. While in Seattle, David worked considerably with film composer B.C. Smith. As a performer, Zucker toured the U.S. with his funk, fusion band, Siamese, and has toured Europe and South India. He has shared the stage with Phish, K.J. Sawka, Skerik, and Bill Frisell. David has currently been working with Grammy award- winning composer, Paul Avgerinos, on composing music for television and film. His music can be heard on many programs ranging from reality television. to the NFL.
