Week 5: July 31-August 4, 2017
This studio course introduces the fundamentals of photographic practice. Students learn technical aspects of exposure, developing and printing in the darkroom as they explore and respond to the visual qualities of the medium. The format includes class demonstrations, lab work, field assignments and critiques. Manual 35mm film camera will be provided.
For students entering grades 5-11. Minimum enrollment 8; maximum enrollment 12.
Program runs from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Technology Instructor: KO Creative Arts teacher Greg Scranton '94 is an interdisciplinary media artist. He is a staff photographer and writer for the music blog, Surviving the Golden Age. He has taught media arts courses at the University of Minnesota and Ursinus College, and he was instrumental in bringing the "Hour of Code" to KO's Middle and Upper Schools in December 2014.
