This creative writing camp for 6-9th graders will offer a fun, supportive, and inspiring week of writing original short stories and poems. We will examine elements of creative writing such as character development, dialogue, point-of-view, plot, and imagery while looking at published writing and crafting our own work. Various in-class writing exercises aimed at encouraging originality will help spark ideas and get your words flowing. Throughout the session, we will produce stories and poems that can be shared at the end of the week. Come prepared to explore your imagination and have fun writing!
