Academic Support: Developing Strategies for Success

Students at Kingswood Oxford are encouraged to become self-aware learners who are able to use their resources and adjust their approach to the learning process through focused feedback and ongoing skill development.

In addition to meeting with teachers for subject-specific guidance, students who are looking to improve their organization and study skills and/or are having trouble realizing their academic potential can meet with the Director of Academic Skills, Jackie Rubin. Ms. Rubin is an on-campus resource who works with students on specific strategy implementation and consults with parents about their child’s learning needs.

The Director of Academic Skills also manages the academic accommodations process for students with a diagnosed disability by coordinating with students, teachers, parents, and outside professionals.
