  • Registration

Please register your child for camp using our easy online system. If you prefer to pay by check, please download our Camp KO 2020 application and mail it in with a check for full payment. We cannot guarantee that space will still be available in a particular program when sending in the hard copy application. Please call the Camp Director at 860-727-5032 if you have any questions.
  • How the camp week runs

Campers choose one program per week (only a cappella and 3D Printing and CAD Design are two weeks in length) to focus on. All campers meet as a group four times per day with our Morning Fitness Class, Lunch, Ice Cream Break and our Yoga/Deep Breathing Class. We believe that true improvement and skill development comes when children have large blocks of time to practice new techniques, make mistakes and recover from them in a safe and unhurried environment. Our full group sessions provide holistic support for the emotional, mental and physical well-being of your child. Every Friday, parents are invited to a culminating event in their child's program.
  • Sample Day

All participants will experience a fun and stimulating day of mental and physical activity at Camp KO, regardless of the particular sessions in which they have enrolled. • Health and Wellness

Our focus on health and wellness will ensure that each child has a fun day filled with both physical and mental activity, underscoring the notion that a healthy mind, body, and soul are key components of a happy life. Regardless of whether your passion is academic, artistic, or athletic, success will be connected to good health and a sense of positive well-being. This is why nutrition, fitness, stretching, and conditioning are integral parts of the day at Camp KO.

The health and wellness component of Camp KO will be led by Head Strength and Conditioning Trainer, Brad Seaman, who will also be the Director of First Aid for the camp. He will conduct conditioning, fitness and deep stretch classes for all campers and will work on core and balance training for each sport.

A native of Avon, CT, Brad is the current Head Coach of the KO Boys Basketball team and the KO Strength and Conditioning Director.  Brad played college basketball for Suffolk University and graduated with a degree in Special Education. He is the owner of Lenny Rich Training where he works with boys and girls from Grade 3 to the professional level on basketball and fitness training.

Once a week campers will experience a healthy eating demonstration by local Culinary Educator and Camp KO instructor, Lindsay Perkins. Campers will listen, learn, assist, and of course, taste, the healthy options Lindsay will prepare for them each week while they learn different and new ways to incorporate healthy foods into their lifestyles. Lindsay loves working with kids of all ages to show them how easy, delicious, and FUN it can be to make healthy foods of all types. She believes that making healthy food choices are not just good for your body, but they also work to enhance and strengthen your ability to be focused, active learners in the classroom - and on the field.
