Varsity Girls Lacrosse

The girls varsity lacrosse team defeated Cheshire Academy in a heated contest on Saturday 13-8.

While the Wyverns got off to a fast start with 2 quick goals, Cheshire came back to go up 4-2. The wyverns responded by scoring the next 4 taking a 6-4 lead at the half. In the second half the wyverns took control of the game and never looked back maintaining the lead throughout. Abby Eberle ’18 scored 5 goals and 2 assists, Julia Lantieri ’18 scored 4 goals and an assist, and Mia Seymour ’19, Maitland Bailey ’18, Nicole Genga ’19 each scored 1 goal and Jackie Dugan scored her first varsity goal. Amelia Levine ’20 recorded 5 saves in the net. The key to the game was the defense clamping down on the Cheshire offense in the second half.
