Girls varsity lacrosse
The Girls varsity lacrosse team lost to the Gunn school 16-9 on a cold, sleet filled and windy day.
The Wyverns found the net first on a goal by Caroline Dawson’ 22 assisted by Lindsay Bailey ’22. The Gunn school responded and took the lead that they never relinquished. KO was down 4-6 at the half. Our girls gave a valiant effort, but we just couldn’t get closer than 2 goals and in the end our 13 players gave all they had but it just wasn’t enough on this day. Chayse Shamleffer ’23 had 10 saves. Dawson ended with 2 goals, the second being assisted by Abby McLaughlin ’22 and Dawson assisted on Quin Kearney’s ’23 goal. McLaughlin added a goal to her assist as did Bailey. Alyssa Pavano ’22 had a goal on a free position and Kami Tarantino ’24 led all KO scorers with 3 goals.
