Boys, Girls Swim Teams Victorious On Senior Day

The Kingswood Oxford boys and girls swimming and diving teams both had successful Senior Days and defeated Marianapolis Prep.
The boys team said farewell to seniors Thomas Betts ’19, Nick Spina ’19 and Ellis Winfree ’19 while the girls celebrated their lone senior, Helen Lu ’19.
Behind the leadership of the seniors, the Wyvern boys team defeated Marianapolis Prep with a score of 93 to 65.
Ellis Winfree '19 won the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly and Thomas Betts ‘19 won the Breaststroke.  KO's winning Medley Relay was Ben Zamstein ‘20, Thomas Betts ‘19, Spencer Moy ‘22, and Hayden Smith ‘20.  
In the 200 Freestyle, Walter Kraus '21 took first and Eden Nenshati ’21 was second.  The 200 IM Was won by Zamstein ‘20 with Betts ‘19 placing second and Moy '22 fourth. Traver ‘20 placed second in the 50 Free and Spina ’19 placed third.  Eli Brandt ‘23 and Kevin Graziosi ’22 took first and second in diving respectively, and  Zamstein ’20 placed second in the 100 Butterfly.  Marrich Somridhivej ‘22 took first in the 100 Free while Kraus ‘21 placed second.  Felix Fei '21 placed first in the 500 Freestyle and Nate Brodrick '22 finished second.  
The winning 200 Free relay were Traver, Somridhivej, Kraus, and WinfreeMarwynn Somridhivej ‘20 placed first in the 100 Backstroke, and Nenshati took second.  The winning 400 Free relay was the quartet of Kraus, Brodrick,   Nenshati and Zamstein.
The Wyvern girls swim team defeated Marianapolis Prep 51-33 on Senior Day.
Swimming well for the Wyverns, Risha Ranjan '21 placed second in the 200 Freestyle while Sarah Cioffi '23 took fourth.  Stella Risinger '22 took third in the 200 IM and second in the 100 Butterfly while Maggie Dwyer ‘23 placed second in the 50 Free and Cioffi placed second in the 100 Free. 
Ranjan took third in the 100 Backstroke and Sanyu Liu ‘22 placed second in the 100 Breaststroke.  Also swimming well for the Wyverns was Lily Kuivila '20 who took fourth in both the 200 and 100 Free.
The Wyverns are back in the pool on Wednesday for their final regular season meet at Kent School. The Founders League Championships start on Feb. 20 and New Englands are set to begin on Feb. 27.
