KO Students Excel on AP® Exams

The College Board has named 59 Kingswood Oxford students as AP® Scholars for 2018, based on their exceptional achievement on the Advanced Placement® exams they took in May 2018.
 
The group included two National AP® Scholars, Zachary P. Herz ’18 of Avon and Harry J. Krause ’18 of West Hartford.
 
Kingswood Oxford also had 31 AP® Scholars with Distinction; 10 AP® Scholars with Honor; and 18 AP® Scholars.  The average exam score for all KO’s AP® Scholars was 4.19.  
 
According to The College Board, the AP® Scholar designations are defined as follows:
 
·      National AP®  Scholar: Students who receive an average of at least 4 on all AP® Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams;
 
·      AP® Scholar with Distinction: Students who receive an average of at least 3.5 on all AP®  Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams;
 
·      AP®  Scholar with Honor:  Students who receive an average of at least 3.25 on all AP®  Exams taken, and 3 or higher on four or more of these exams; and
 
·      AP®  Scholar: Students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP®  Exams
