Internship/CIT Opportunities

Volunteer Positions

Camp KO offers unpaid volunteer opportunities for rising sophomores and higher in high school as well as college students. Applicants must have a high level of mastery in a specific field and will work with the lead instructor to learn how to teach or coach in this area, act as a role model for the younger campers and assist in the morning and afternoon fitness and conditioning programs. These students will receive 40 hours of community service per week of camp.

On occasion, Camp KO also offers a few paid positions to former volunteers based on their leadership and teaching skills. Please apply as a volunteer first and a paid position will be determined after the interview process.
Counselor-In-Training (CIT) positions

Rising freshmen (only in camp programs where campers are in 8th grade or below) and rising sophomores may apply as CIT's. CIT's may attend camp on half-tuition which allows them to help out in entry-level camp activities and also have an opportunity to improve their own skills in a program that they are passionate about. They must be interviewed and recommended by the lead instructor for this opportunity.
How to Apply

CIT or Volunteer Applicants must complete this online form by March 25. Upon review, an interview will be scheduled and decisions will be made by April 30th. Applicants (CITs and Volunteers) will receive an email once their application is reviewed to schedule an in-person interview with the camp director. CITs, once accepted, will be given a special code to register and pay for the program their assigned program.
Camp KO 2022 will operate on the Kingswood Oxford campus. We will await specific guidelines from the State and the Department of Health concerning COVID safety and then we will put those requirements into place for the coming season. All staff must be fully vaccinated and boosted by the start of camp.

Mandatory training for all volunteers and CITs will include an online course in Social Emotional Learning training and an overall camp orientation in early June. There will be two designated dates for the orientation and each applicant must attend one of the sessions in order to volunteer at camp. All volunteers and CITs over 18 will sign an authorization/waiver form and for those under 18, parent signatures are required.

COVID-19 Safety Rules: Coaches and players will be required to wear a mask during these sessions. Please do not send your child if they are experiencing any flu-like symptoms or have traveled to a state that requires a quarantine upon return.

For the safety and welfare for all campers, Camp KO reserves the unrestricted right to dismiss any camper whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of the Camp Director, is detrimental to the best interests of the camp. There will be no refunds in this case.
