Volunteer Positions
Camp KO offers unpaid volunteer opportunities for rising sophomores and higher in high school as well as college students. Applicants must have a high level of mastery in a specific field and will work with the lead instructor to learn how to teach or coach in this area, act as a role model for the younger campers and assist in the morning and afternoon fitness and conditioning programs. These students will receive 40 hours of community service per week of camp.
Counselor-In-Training (CIT) positions
Rising freshmen and sophomores may apply as CIT's. CIT's may attend camp on half-tuition which allows them to help out in entry-level camp activities and also have an opportunity to improve their own skills in a program that they are passionate about. They must be interviewed and recommended by the lead instructor for this opportunity.
How to Apply
CIT or Volunteer Applicants must
complete this online form by March 30. Upon review, an interview will be scheduled and decisions will be made by April 30th. CITs, once accepted, you will be given a special code to register and pay for the program.
Camp KO 2021 is poised to operate in-person on the Kingswood Oxford campus. We will await specific guidelines from the State and the Department of Health and then we will put those requirements into place for the coming season. All staff will be required to self-screen each day for COVID-19 symptoms and quarantine protocols will apply. In order to be on our campus, all staff must abide by all required protocols outlined by the State’s Youth Camp Licensing office.
Mandatory training for all volunteers and CITs will take place in June. There will be two designated dates and each applicant must attend one of the sessions in order to volunteer at camp. All volunteers and CITs over 18 will sign an authorization/waiver form and for those under 18, parent signatures are required.
