Parent Association
Connecting and Supporting Families
Partnering with families is the bedrock of the KO experience.
Building a strong community requires people to share common values and work together to pursue both collective and individual goals. A strong community affirms that every member is important, belongs, and contributes to the common good. As KOâs motto attests, âone conquers by conquering oneselfââthat is, by strengthening individuals, we strengthen the whole. We lift each other up, elevate each otherâs voices, and celebrate our differences. We welcome parents, guardians, and families into our foldâknowing that they enrich our shared experience and animate the inclusive partnerships that define us.
Â
As a day school, KO has a robust and active family community, and we always welcome new perspectives and helping hands. The Parent Association meets monthly to discuss various topics. If you canât make the meetings, thereâs always a way to contribute to life on campus, whether through volunteering on one of our event committees, supporting Hewett Fall Sports Day in October, manning concessions and selling KO Swag. . The Zone snack bar during midterms and finals, or attending information social events. We know you lead busy lives, so you can volunteer as much or as little as you like.Â
Â
We canât wait for you to be a part of KO. Families are what make our school the special place that it is!

“For us as parents, we have found a lot of families that are like ours, which is so nice. That’s important to our family to have those relationships and to know your child’s friend’s parents. It’s not just about the students, but the families as well.”
â Adriana Galeano-Tippner, P â24, â24, â25, â28
