Baseball – Boys JV vs Avon Old Farms School – Away

JV Baseball

The JV baseball team fell to Avon Old Farms 7-6 on Monday. It was a close game until the end, but the Winged Beavers did just enough to hold off the Wyverns. Cole Keegan ’27 got the start on the mound for the Wyverns and pitched well across five innings, surrendering five runs (three earned) with seven strikeouts. Avon scored three in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie, but the Wyverns cut their deficit back down to 1 in part thanks to a pair of stolen bases from Xavier Hernandez-Newton and a double off the bat of Liam Davis ’26 that nearly cleared the left field fence. The Winged Beavers got two more of their own in the bottom of the inning, and despite some clutch hits from Colton Bischoff ’26 and Luciano Ayala ’27, two runs was one short of tying the game.
