Kingswood Oxford Varsity Baseball (1-1-1) battled Choate Rosemary Hall on Thursday afternoon at Mandell field to a 3-3 tie.
The Wyverns started Boston College commit, Evan Moore ‘19, on the mound for their third league game of the season. Evan gave up only one run (unearned), scattering 3 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 9 batters through 5 innings. Nick Cannata ‘20, came into relieve in the 6th, he pitched the final three innings before the game was called due to darkness. Nick gave up 2 runs on 2 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 5.
Tim Cotter ‘20, got the Wyverns on the board in the first inning with a two out double over the left fielders head, scoring Jack Marshall ‘20 from first, who lead off the Wyverns first inning with a single.
Choate tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth, and then took the lead in the eighth inning 3-1. The Wyverns fought back in the bottom half of the 8th when Wes Pierce ‘20 singled with 2 outs driving in Connor Patenaude ‘19, and Jack Marshall ‘20 to tie the game. The game was then called due to darkness.
