V Baseball

The Kingswood Oxford Varsity baseball team was looking for revenge on Wednesday (5/12) as they were hosting Marianapolis.

The last time the two teams met, the Knights walked the Wyverns off for a 5-4 win.  This day would be much different.
   The Wyverns offensive exploded, lead by senior captains, Sam Smith (‘21), Mike Demio (‘21), and Riley Gravel (‘21), and a strong pitching performance by sophomore Devin Wolff (‘23) as they went on to a 12-0 victory over the Knights.
    Mike Demio lead the way for the Wyverns going 3-4 with 3 RBI.  Sam Smith also had 3 hits while driving in 2, and Riley Gravel contributed with another multi hit game.  Junior designated hitter, Christian Pedro (‘23) was 1-3 with 2 RBI and freshman Jack Decker (‘24) knocked in two runs with a double.
     Wyverns starting pitcher Devin Wolff looked great on the mound again, throwing six shoutout innings, striking out six , while only giving up three hits, and walking two.  Mike Demio made his varsity pitching debut in the seventh inning to relieve Wolff and close the door on the Knights.
