Varsity Baseball

Varsity Baseball remains undefeated after holding off the Taft Rhinos late.

KO jumped out to 2-0 lead in the first inning when Jack Marshall ’20 scored on Jimmy DiVirgilio’s ’18 single. Ben Tauber ’18 then singled in DiVirgilio with the second run. The score was 4-1 going into the 7th inning. Taft scored 2 runs and had the tying run on second base with one out. DiVirgilio threw out the runner trying to score on a basehit to left field for the second out, and Tauber made a diving catch in center field to end the game. Tim Cotter ’20 had two hits and picked up the save. Evan Moore ’19 pitched 5 innings for the win.
