Baseball – Boys Varsity vs Trinity-Pawling School – Away

Varsity Baseball

Varsity baseball team traveled to T-P for two games.  The Wyverns came away with a win in the first game.

The Wyverns came away with a split of the doublheader winning the first game 6-5 and losing the second 10-8. The first game KO built a 4-0 lead by the third inning scoring 1 in the first and 3 in the third. The third inning started with a walk to Zack Swilling ’18, and a single by Jimmy Divirgilio ’18.  A double by Mark Place ’18 scored Swilling, and Tim Cotter ’20 and Jake Rowland ’18 followed with RBI singles. T-P scored 2 in the bottom of the third to close to 4-2. The Wyverns scored 2 more in the fourth with the big hit an RBI double by DiVirgilio. T-P scored 2 in the sixth to make it 6-4, and the first batter in the seventh hit a triple before Ben Tauber ’18 came in to get the final 3 outs in relief to get the save. Nick Cannata ’20 started the game and pitched into the 7th striking out 8 to get the win.
