In a tough yet close battle against Cheshire, the Wyverns lost 60-62 on Saturday in a true overtime thriller. Standout performances by Carl Parkhouse ‘28 and Ernesto Ballesteros ‘28 continued to impress, with Parkhouse draining 3’s from beyond the arc and Ballesteros displaying impressive defensive dominance. The star of the show this week (and our “player of the game”) goes to Sawyer Burtman ‘26, who led the team in layups, foul shots, and total points (20! that’s 1/3 of the team overall) in a fierce demonstration of his determination to win. In the end, one shot could have changed the result and the Wyverns walk into the new year with their heads held high. Come 2025, we have 10 teams on the schedule and plenty of action ahead.
