KO defeats the Pomfret Griffins.

The Wyverns fought hard against Pomfret’s tough half court man to man defense the entire game, finally breaking through in the last five minutes of the game, going on a 12-0 run at that point. With just a 3 point lead at half-time, KO tightened up their half court defense, holding the Griffins to just nine second half points.  Alessia Caruso, ’19, Lian Wolman, ’19, Amiya Young, ’18, Jamie Scarpantonio, ’20, Juanita Asapokhai, ’20 and Amanda Bucknam, ’19 were among the significant contributors to the team’s defensive efforts, particularly in the second half.  Eight different Wyverns scored with Catherine Daniels, ’21 the high scorer.
