Basketball – Girls MS A vs Miss Porter’s School – Away

MS A Girls Basketball

The KO MS A basketball team beat Miss Porter’s 49-16.

Coming out to a fast start, KO led the whole way and had control of the game from the beginning. The Wyverns led 18-2 after the first quarter and never allowed Porter’s to get back in the game. With confident shooting on offense and quick hands on defense, the team had one of its best overall games of the season. Georgia Louis ’24 got the Wyverns going early on and finished with 16 points. This is especially impressive considering she scored 12 in the first half and did not play for much of the second half. Lia Arnold ’25 had a dominant game, scoring 14 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Both Ashley Buckingham ’24 and Jillian Alexander ’24 also contributed in big ways, with Ashley scoring 8 points and Jillian scoring 7. Beyond these numbers, everyone got quality playing time and exhibited many of the skills the team has worked on in practice. It was clear that the whole team came ready to play their best basketball. The Wyverns hope to build on this positive momentum next Wednesday against Hamden Hall.
