Basketball – Girls MS A vs Renbrook School – Away

MS A Girls Basketball

In its first game of 2020, the KO MS Girls A basketball team beat Renbrook 35-22.

Though the team had to shake off some rust after a long layoff, they played a consistent game and made sure Renbrook never went on a scoring run. Georgia Louis ’24 followed up a stellar first game with another, leading the team with 22 points. She also stayed aggressive throughout the game and led a tight defense. The Wyverns’ defense was the key to the win, as everyone fought hard to force turnovers. Kelly Stepnowski ’24 was a thorn in Renbrook’s side by anticipating their passes and picking up multiple steals. Though KO did have some trouble getting their shots to fall, it was still an impressive showing, with everyone contributing. Lia Arnold ’25 scored 7 points, and Jillian Alexander ’24 also got on the board with 4 points. After a solid first two games, the Wyverns look to pick up their third win of the season next Wednesday against Rumsey Hall.
