Basketball – Girls MS B vs St. Timothy’s School – Home

MS B Girls Basketball

In their first game of the season, the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns came out strong against a small but scrappy St. Timothy’s team. Both teams were excited to be on the court, as the game had been scheduled to fill a cancellation. Having more size, the Wyverns dominated the boards, and as a result, they were able to put back a number of second chances. Upper Prep point guard Matilda Garza ’31 led the team with 10 points, while Form 2 veterans Sydney St. Clair ’29 and Giselle Brighthaupt ’29 each contributed six points each. Newcomer Bertie Tostmann ’30 was a force on the boards, and also contributed six points off the bench. Upper Prepper Emma Hannoush ’31 stepped in to the point guard role late in the game and was able to contribute a basket. Finally, three year veteran Suri Maru ’29 played excellent defense along with Kate Pfadenhauser ’31 and Parker Lang ’29. The Wyverns are excited to continue their hard work and growth against Ethel Walker!
