V Girls Basketball

The varsity girls basketball team traveled to Cheshire Academy for a Friday night game. The wyverns came home with the win by a score of 62-53. The Cheshire cats built up a double digit lead in the second quarter after leading by 6 at the end of the first quarter. Our players responded and cut the lead to 3 going into the half off of a 3 point shot with less than 2 seconds on the clock. Coming out of the half the wyverns took the lead and then it went back and forth throughout the 3rd quarter ending with KO up by 2. The final quarter saw our players extend and keep the lead due to a great defensive effort and ball movement on the offensive end leading to open shots. A great team win for our players!
