Basketball – Girls Varsity vs Choate Rosemary Hall – Home

The varsity girls basketball team played host to the wild boars of Choate in their final game before the KIT’s. The wyverns may have been smaller in size but they were mightier in effort and spirit. Our players challenged Choate at the start as we were only down five at the end of the first eight minutes. Going into the half the lead in favor of the boars increased to twelve. The wyverns came out of halftime ready to keep fighting but the boars were able to expand their lead even further. Heading into the final quarter down 24 our girls never gave up. Players came off our bench and outscored the boars 14-10 in the final eight minutes. The energy of the players on the court was mimicked by their teammates on the bench cheering them on. Those last eight minutes exemplify what this team is about playing together, supporting each other and never giving up.
