Varsity Girls Basketball

The varsity girls basketball team traveled to the northeast corner of the state for a late afternoon game against Pomfret. The game was relatively close throughout the first half as the wyverns took a twelve point lead into halftime. Our players came out and scored fifteen points in the 3rd quarter while holding Pomfret to one basket. The fourth quarter saw more of the same with our players moving the ball well and putting up another eighteen points. Nine players made the trip to Pomfret and the eight that could play all saw significant time on the court. Every player had four or more points in the game. As a team we hit seven three point shots. It was a nice team effort and win.
