Varsity Girls Basketball

The varsity girls basketball team, at the midpoint of the season game wise, earned a nice win against the lions of St. Mark’s by a score of 64-50. Things were clicking for the wyverns on both ends of the court. Defensively our help man to man in the half court really challenged the lions, especially in the first half when we held them to 17 points. Offensively we were executing our offense well, taking advantage of breaks when we could and getting up lots of shots. The lions made a run in the second half, 34-33 in favor of the wyverns, but couldn’t overcome the deficit from the first half. All ten wyverns available to play today had time on the court and seven of the ten had at least one point in the winning effort. The wyverns currently stand at 6-6 and are looking to make a run as they enter the final month of the season.
