V Boys Cross Country

KO had three runners in the top 20. First for KO (and 8th place overall) was senior Oskar Ruser with a time of 18:49 for a distance of 5.0 kilometers (3.1 mi.). Sophomore Leo Ladewig came in 11th place with a time of 19:20. He is getting closer to the 18 minute mark all the time. Senior captain Sam Auclair was 15th with a time of 19:40. In a cross country race, the first five runners on the team are used for scoring purposes. Coming in the fourth and fifth positions as scorers were sophomores Dorian Ciscel and Alex Gumkowski with times of 21:00 and 21:11. Freshman Caleb Quinby and junior Jack Krieble were energetic runners for the sixth and seventh positions in the varsity race for KO. This was the 50th anniversary of the Canterbury Invitational. One of the highlights was the presence of a cofounder of the race, Walter Burke, who retired in 1995.
