MS Cross Country

After a long bus ride to New Haven on Wednesday, the runners were eager to get the starting line.

Eleven of our runners went to the line on this warm October day. Shane Bradley ’24 and Charlie Simons ’24 went out fast and were leading the race for the first 200 yards. The experience Hopkins runners soon overtook our early lead during the first major incline. Throughout the rest of the short 1.3 mile course, the runners raced around the fields and then into the woods and finished with a long steep incline. Shane Bradley ’24 and Maggie Dwyer ’23 were the first two runners to cross the line for Wyverns. Shortly after Jaden Smith ’24, Charlie Simons ’24, Rachael Lantner ’25 and Julia Sohn ’25 finished race. The next pack to finish were Brendan Mastella ’23, Owen Roy ’25, Cam Heart ’25, Joe Nathan ’23, and Aarya Dalal ’23. Up next is our meet against Renbrook on KO’s Hewett Day on Saturday 10/13 at 10:00 at the West Hartford Reservoir.
