Field Hockey – Girls JV vs Ethel Walker School, The – Away

JV Field Hockey

The JV Field Hockey team came out just 24 hours after their home opener to play at Ethel Walker on Thursday, September 27.

From the starting whistle the team controlled the ball putting pressure on Walkers defense.  The team had several chances offensively in the first half but could not get any shots into the back of the cage. On a fast break, Walkers went ahead 1-0.  At halftime, the Wyerns geared up for a strong second half, but Walkers came out strong putting us on our heels.  Midway through the second half, they weaved through our defense again for their second goal.  The team replaced their momentum towards the end of the second half, but Walkers defense held strong.  Allie Wildstein ’22, Mia Brown ’22, Macy Isenberg, and Anusha Memon ’20 had great movement offensively.  Shreeya  Chalikonda ’21 stepped into an important midfield role and played well.  Great fight!  The Wyverns plan to open up their offense when they play next Wednesday at Choate.
