Field Hockey – Girls MS vs West Hartford Youth Field Hockey – Home
MS Field Hockey
On Saturday October 5th, KO Middle School Field Hockey played a talented West Hartford Youth Field Hockey team.
This was the tightest and strongest level of play the team had seen this season. KO stayed focused even in pressure filled moments within their defensive circle. Taking advantage of an offensive breakaway we found our way to the circle and powered in a goal by Hadley Crowther ’25 and Hana Haxhaj ’24 assisted by Charlotte Sorensen ’24. The Wyverns tallied another one before halftime from Olivia Gordon ’24 to Crowther ’25 making the score 2-0 going into the break. The 8th grade opponents came into the second half on fire scoring two beautiful goals to tie the game at 2-2. The efforts on both sides continued, until Sorensen ’24 found Crowther ’25 in the circle for a beautiful goal to go up 3-2. The Wyverns put the icing on the cake with a classic cross and put away from Gordon ’24 to Lia Arnold ’25 to make the final score of 4-2. Ysabel Albert ’25 had amazing saves in the cage, while Macey Kotowitz ’25 played an outstanding defensive game too. Jenna Kanaan ’25 and Meredith Decker ’25 were strong players, helping out defensively and as midfielders. The Wyverns remain undefeated at 4-0 at the midpoint of their season. Up next, the team takes on The Foote School at home on October 16th.
