Varsity Field Hockey

KO played an unbelievable game for all 60 minutes without giving up.

The goal scorers were Cici Chagnon(2021) with one, Alyssa Pavano(2022) with two goals, Izzy Burke(2021) with one goal and Arie Lang(2022) with one. It was an extremely hot game but KO didn’t let that effect them one bit. This is the first win over Canterbury in 5 years and should go a long way for the team in terms of realizing their potential and how much talent they have. When this team puts their hearts into it, nothing will stop them. Captain Mia Seymour(2019) controlled the momentum of the game and set her team up with beautiful passes to get us down the field. Another standout was Tori  Swanson(2021). Tori once again was a major force on the field with not only her speed but her skill. Tori got the Wyverns breakaways and got them a better position on the field.  Caitlin Budzik(2021) did a great job in goal with 15 saves. She was on the attack and worked hard to keep Canterbury out. The defenders Keegan McMahon(2021) played center back but I also pressured her to move up to also help play midfield. She did a great job getting all the teams free hits down the field. Camy Forslund(2021) was also a crucial part of our defensive line up. She attacked the ball and got it where we needed it. Other defensive players that added to the win were Margo Dogiewitz(2021), Hannah Shames(2020) and Amelia Boardman(2020) who made her first varsity appearance and held KO down with great hustle and aggressiveness. Other offensive standouts were Alex D’Addabbo(2020), Katharine Doar(2022), Abby McLaughlin(2022) and Izzy Rome(2021).
