Kingswood Oxford picked up its second win of the week on Wednesday afternoon, rolling to a 5-0 victory over Miss Porter’s School.  Niki Taylor ’21 and Cici Chagnon ’21 each scored a pair of goals while captain Eliza Charette also added a tally.  “We played a great game today. We fought hard the whole time and never gave up,” Wyverns coach Nikke Blake said. “The team played well together and connected almost every pass. From the moment the whistle blew we attacked and never let up. The entire team played a great game.”  Coach Blake credited the offensive line of Charette, Chagnon, Taylor, Alex D’Addabbo ’20, Camy Forslund and Izzy Burke for keeping the ball inside the Miss Porters’ circle for much of the game.  In the midfield captain Mia Seymour ’19, Claire Taylor ’21, Tori Swanson ’21 and Izzy Rome ’21 controlled the action and kept the ball out of the KO end for most of the game.  Any offense that Miss Porter’s did try and muster was snuffed out by a solid defensive effort from Keegan McMahon ’21, Julia Duggan ’21, Margo Dowgeiwicz ’21 and Shreeya Chalikondra.  Kingswood Oxford is now 2-1 on the season ahead of a Saturday matchup in New Milford with the Canterbury School.
