Varsity Field Hockey

The Varsity Field Hockey team lost to Pomfret 0-3 on Oct. 3. The team went into the game with a positive attitude but when we sat back they took advantage of us. It’s always a close game with Pomfret as it was this year. The offense played outstanding but just couldn’t get the ball in the goal. The midfield once again ran their hearts out. KO had great breakaways and great opportunities but the ball just wouldn’t go in. The defense played aggressively and tried to keep them out of the circle. Goalie Caitlin Budzik ’21 had over eight saves. The majority of the game was played in their circle, the offense did a great job controlling the first half of the game. Game standouts were the incredible runners Captain Mia Seymour ’19, Tori Swanson ’21, Arie Lang ’22, Alyssa Pavano ’22, Cici Chagnon ’21, Izzy Burke ’21, and Abby McLaughlin ’22, Katherine Doar ’22 and Izzy Rome ’21. The defensive standouts were Keegan McMahon ’21, Margo Dogiewitz ’21, Camy Forslund ’21 and Hannah Shames ’20.
