The Kingswood Oxford Football team traveled down to the Canterbury School for the final regular season game with the League title on the line. The Wyverns started strong, scoring at will, special teams making big plays forcing turnovers, and holding strong defensively. A great 31 yard TD run by Justin Morle ’26 opened the scoring to lead 7-0. On the following possession Michael Waters Jr ’27 chased down a WR to stop the Canterbury player from scoring. After great tackles for loss by Noah Patrei ’27 and Cameron Thomas ’26, we forced a missed FG attempt by Canterbury. Isley Biggins ’28 then went 70 yards to the house to extend the lead 14-0 early in the 2nd quarter. Special teams then recovered the onside kick. The Wyvern pass game heated up after DJ Biggins ’26 connected with Justin Ocasio ’27 who fit a perfect ball into a tight window to bring the score to 21-0 2nd quarter. Halftime 24-7 , KO showed no quit or change in demeanor and continued to dominate their opponent. The play of the game came when Teddy Ristaino ’28 did a phenomenal job snapping the ball with a defender in the neutral zone creating a free play. Ocasio ’27 then hit Biggins ’26 in stride for a monster 59 yard TD to put the game out of reach 30-7. The teams traded scores the rest of the way for the culmination of a 44-21 victory! Now 8-1 on the season the Wyverns will look to to host the Class C Championship game vs the Rivers School on Saturday November 15th, 1:00 pm kickoff
