Loss 8-41

The Kingswood Oxford Football team played host for the final time in 2023 against the tough St Paul School Big Red on a cool, cloudy fall afternoon. It was St. Paul from start to finish scoring on the opening kickoff, and their first 5 possessions of the first half. The KO offense was able to move the ball into St Paul territory 3 times in the first half. Great plays by DJ Biggins ’26, Justin Morle ’26, and excellent O line blocking by Lex Green ’26, Chief Ebana, ’24, Julian Przecioska ’25, Nicklas Chomko ’26, and Evan Tyler ’25, helped fuel the offense. However, KO was unable to seize momentum, getting stopped each time deep in St. Paul territory. 3 first half turnovers did not help, and St paul led at the half 41-0. KO, still playing hard, shut St. Paul out for the rest of the game. Ebana led the defense with 6 tackles and 2 TFL. The solo score for KO this day was a great TD pass from Stephen Bailey ’25 to Rhandyn Bair ’24, who made an excellent catch leaping over a defender for a 28 yard TD score. The final 41-8, KO will look to get back in the winning column next Saturday 10/28, when they travel to Albany Academy for a 2:00 pm Kickoff.
