Golf – Varsity vs Kent School, Taft School – Away

Varsity Golf

On a sunny, blustery spring afternoon a shorthanded Wyvern squad travelled to Watertown Country Club, to battle the Rhinos of Taft and Kent Lions in the team’s first 18 hole match of the year.

The long day, and strong wind, took its toll, leaving the Wyverns adrift of both their opponents.  Niko Rodriguez’20 led the way with a fine 79, but only Captains Garth Swanson’19 and James Amenta’19 could also break bogey golf with scores of 87 and 88, respectively. The Wyvern Golf Tour continues this weekend as the team travels to the wilds of the Berkshires to take on the Bears, the Wildcats and Titans.
