Golf – Varsity vs Westminster School, Kent School, Loomis Chaffee School – Away

Varsity Golf

The Wyvern linksters travelled to Wintonbury Hills, home of the Pelicans, for an all-Founders League contest with Loomis, Westminster and Kent.

The Martlets shot a spectacular 187, followed by the Lions with a fine 197. The Wyverns closed the gap on Loomis from last Wednesday, but still trailed their hosts by 11 shots. Capt. Garth Swanson’19 and Niko Rodriguez’20 led the way with cards of 40, but the other members of the squad struggled to better bogey scores. The team begins a regular rotation of biweekly matches and hope that this schedule will produce more consistent results.
