Hewett Day vs Renbrook School – Home

MS Cross Country

The cross country team battled the cold and the rain on Saturday morning for our Hewett Day race against Renbrook at the West Hartford Reservoir.

The 19 of our runners showed up ready to race. Madison B. ‘24, Maggie D. ‘23, Elliott S.’23 and Sasha D. ‘25 started out the race quickly and attacked the first hill. All the runners started off fast to warm their cold bodies. After the first loop, Madison B. ‘24 had a significant lead and she was followed by her fellow KO runners. Madison B. ‘24 finished the race in a quick 14:38. Maggie, Elliot, and a Renbrook runner battled to the finish with Sasha D. and Jaden S. finishing right behind them. Emma S. ‘25, Azul M. ‘25, Rachael L. ‘25, and Julia S. ‘25 closed out our top 7 girls for the race. For the boys, Bendan ‘23, Charlie S. ‘24, Preston S. ‘25, and Rayyan H. ‘24 completed the top 7 for the boys.  It was a great race for the Wyverns. Congratulations goes out to Nikhil R. ‘25, Rayyan H. ‘24, Julie W. ‘25, and Sasha D. ‘25 for completing their first KO cross country race!
