Very Slow Start for the Wyvern at the 1st game played at the Wings Arena in Stamford. S hour b uss rude did us no favors as the team Quickly found them selves trailing 3-0. Poor puck management and lack of hustle hurt. 2nd period started much the same way as GCDS would add 2 more goals to take a 5-0 lead 5 minutes into the period. But after a Time out and verbal centering of the team, the Wyvern responded with 3 consecutive goals in the remaining 13:37 left in the period. Krish Patel ‘26(2 goals ) and Colton Bischoff ‘26 (2 assists) would combine for the 1st two goals of the period to start the comeback. Bischoff would add his own goal on a power play (assisted by Dalton Smith ‘26 & Nick Humiston ‘29) in the last minute of the period to pull to 5-3. GCDS came out firing and scored on a KO miscue early in the 3rd. KO would counter with another Power play goal midway through the the 3rd. Text book execution would produce a 2nd Bischoff ‘26 goal ( assisted by Dalton Smith ‘26 & Krish Patel ‘26, pulling back to 6-4. KO would yield an empty net goal to GCDS in the final minute for a 7-4 final.
