KO Hockey played host to Rye Country Day School this past Saturday in South
Windsor for a hard fought game that would eventually go in to Overtime.
KO would
fall behind early in the 1 st period but would answer later in the period when Bodie

Lindsay Stepnowski ’26 who would steal the puck and move it to Swanson ‘25 in
the slot for the score. The game would remain tied until the 3 rd period when Rye
Country Day would go up 2 -1. KO would answer later in the period on a 5-3
Powerplay opportunity that would show good puck movement and eventual score
on a blast from the left flank by Will Berckemeyer ’22. Aidan Aube ’22 and Cody
Brew ’23 would be credited with assists. Despite the good effort for the remainder
of the game and OT, the game would end in a 2-2 tie. Matt Cote ’23 had 38 saves in
