Lacrosse – Boys Varsity vs Hamden Hall Country Day School – Home
Varsity Boys Lacrosse
The Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse team lost to Hamden Hall on April 24 with a score of 4-11 but showed tremendous effort against a talented team.
They were very skilled offensively, and the Wyvern defense held them in check for most of the game. Three goals separated the team until the 4th quarter, where Hamden went on a run. The KO attack unit showed poise against a defense that was much bigger, and had great effort defending the clear. Teddy Crowther ‘22 found the net twice and Carter Smith ‘22 once.
It was the entire midfield group that really helped control the game and the tempo. Chris Sienko ‘21 played great midfield defense and was able to transition the ball very well to offense end using his speed and game sense. He also added on a nice assist to Crowther. Ben Woerlen ‘22 and Justin Edwards ‘21 did well disrupting Hamden Hall’s specialty face-off player and Edwards added a nice goal with a shot on the run blowing by his defender.
Arthur Smith ‘22 and Conor Caneday ‘21 both played goalie and each made some key saves.
