Lacrosse – Girls Varsity vs Miss Porter’s School – Away

Varsity Girls Lacrosse

Our own Wyverns went head to head against the strong Miss Porter’s team.

The first half for the Wyverns was a difficult one, especially leading into halftime when Miss Porter’s School scored two goals in the last 11 seconds which had KO losing by 2 goals at halftime. But that did not discourage the KO girls lacrosse team, instead it motivated them. The girls came out ready to dominate the second half after the three captains provided the team with an uplifting and positive talk. The lady Wyverns came out dominating Miss Porter’s School in every aspect of the game the entire second half. Nicole Genga ’19 contributed 5 goals along with Mia Seymour ’19 and Kathryn Westrick ’20 who each had 2 goals for the Wyverns. Molly Jones ’20 and Tori Swanson ’21each added a goal for the win.  Amelia Levine’20 came up strong with 17 saves in the goal to help secure the win! This game was the true definition of a great team effort by the KO Girls Lacrosse team and was a great win away! The next game will be home on Thursday, May 9th at 5pm against Cheshire Academy.
