Soccer – Boys JV vs Gunnery School – Home

Tie 1-1

Boys JV Soccer hosted the Fredrick Gunn School this past Wednesday. Though the Gunnery squad was physically bigger and stronger than the Wyvern squad, the fight in the Wyverns would prove formidable. The Gunnery would jump out 1 -0 early in the first half on a well played attack of the wing and thru the middle to the net. Undeterred, The JV Wyverns would assert themselves in the balance of the half. Thru ball control and fitness, the Wyverns would continue on the attack until late in the half when Charlie Levin ‘26 would be fouled inside the 18 an earn a penalty shot. Levin ‘26 would bury the opportunity in the back of the Gunn net to draw the score tied at the half.

KO would go on to dominate play in the 2nd half, winning more than their share of 2nd balls and transitioning on attack through out the half. Despite the effort, no additional scoring occurred with the game coming to an end in a draw, 1-1. The back line of Roman Moray ‘24, Robin Benz ‘27 , Alex Ndiyae ‘27 and Cary Duvall ‘25 would prove to be strong once again for the Wyverns. Bodie Tarantino ‘27 would also provide valuable minutes in the midfield, challenging, controlling and distributing the ball. Jared Paldino ‘26 also provided spark and energy on the offensive attack. Danny Rivera ‘27 was solid in net as well.

Boys JV Soccer is now 3-1-1 and next Hosts Marianapolis Prep this Saturday at 1:30pm on the Troutbrook field.
