JV Boys Soccer

The Boys JV Soccer team won their second game in a row by defeating Marianapolis Preparatory School 2:1 on Hewett Day.

The boys started off strong playing a calm, composed possession game and creating numerous chances.  On one of those chances, Jackson Balog finally found the net with an accurate shot from the right.  In the second half, the boys continued to pass well and created more chances, but their shots either missed the target or were saved.  Then, with only 6 min left, the visiting team capitalized on our defensive mistake and scored an easy goal tying the game.  Just when it looked as if the game was going to end with a disappointing tie, Aidan Ladewig scored both the winning goal and the goal of the season: He bent a 25-yard free kick over the goalie’s head with the ball touching both the crossbar and the left post before ending up in the net!   Our next game is on Wednesday, Oct. 27 against Choate.
