Soccer – Boys MS vs Indian Mountain School – Away

We anticipated that this would be the biggest challenge to date, and that was exactly the case. Indian Mountain’s squad has a mix of international players and goes up to 9th grade, so we knew that we had to play our best. As we traveled through snow squalls on the way to Lakeville, CT and arrived at a turf field covered with a layer of snow, it was quite a sight. Fortunately, it melted quickly! A very quick score by IMS in the first minute set the tone, and we never quite recovered. They controlled play for the entire half, and we found ourselves down 5-0 at the half despite some good saves from Jackson Ramsey (Form 2). We competed much better in the 2nd half, as we finally scored on a corner from Jake Schwartz (Form 1) to Jeremiah Moyano (Form 1). In the back, Aaron Anstead played an inspired game, helping to keep the score from being even more lopsided! Next up is an away match at Renbrook on Friday to cap our season.
