Soccer – Boys Varsity vs Canterbury School – Home
Win 8-0
Varsity Soccer dominates home opener
The Boys Varsity Soccer got off to a great start at home, defeating Canterbury 8-0. Despite some early chances and a large difference in possession time, the Wyverns nearly conceded the first tally of the game, but the visitors rung the crossbar. Sam Cote ‘24 found the back of the net to start the scoring in the 28th minute, and completed his brace in the final minute of the first half off an assist from Ardit Zhuta ‘24. Leading 2-0 at halftime for the second time in as many games, KO was not looking for a repeat performance in the second half, and they surely avoided it. Tyler Bergquist ‘27, Ardit Zhuta, Grant Daigle ‘24, Tagdh Dillow ‘26, Pratt Blair ‘26, and Kaden Rodriguez ‘25 each added a goal apiece in the second half to secure the Wyverns’ first victory of the season.
KO is now 1-0-1 and travels to Greens Farms Academy on Wednesday, September 27.
