Soccer – Boys Varsity vs Canterbury School – Home
Boys Varsity Soccer
KO took on Canterbury in a home game that would see an incredible number of goal-scoring chances for the Wyverns.
After long spells of relentless pressure on the opposition in the first half, and many opportunities to open the scoring, it would be the visitors who would score against the run of play to make it 1-0 at half-time to Canterbury.
The second half continued in the same manner, but KO quickly found the back of the net through Captain Pratt Blair, who made no mistake with an excellent finish.
A few minutes later, the Wyverns would take the lead, and it was Blair again with a second from the PK spot.
In control of the game, and while looking for a third goal to secure the victory, the talented Canterbury number 9 found his second of the game from inside the box to tie the game 2-2.
KO threw everything at Canterbury and could have scored on numerous occasions to win the game, but the away team hung on, and much to the disappointment of all the KO players, the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
