Boys Varsity Soccer stays hot against Kent

The Wyverns avenged another loss from last season, handling Kent at home, 4-0. The black and crimson started off the scoring when defender Michael Bzowyckyj ‘24 sent a cross in that found the back of the net off of a Lion defender. Grant Daigle ‘24 nearly scored but was fouled hard in the box, but Ardit Zhuta ‘24 finished off the job from the penalty stripe, setting the halftime score at 2-0. KO continued to press the attack, as Daigle added a goal and an assist in the second half. Scotty Cloud ‘25 made a beautiful touch to keep the ball in bounds and simultaneously flick it up to Daigle, who took the ball to the net for his ninth of the year. The final Wyvern goal was Jack Neikrie’s ‘25 first of the season. KO saw all 24 members of its varsity roster on the field in the contest, including a few who played double time across JV and varsity. Will Slayton ‘24 and Sawyer Burtman ‘26 were especially sharp in goal as they combined for the shutout.

The Wyverns are now 5-1-1 and continue their hunt for a playoff spot at Pomfret on Saturday, October 14th. Kickoff is slated for 2:00 p.m.
