Boys Varsity Soccer Wins 4-0 at Pomfret

The Wyverns began a stretch of four games in eight days with a convincing 4-0 victory at Pomfret. The scoring began in the 16th minute when Jack Neikrie ‘25 found Grant Daigle ‘24 for the lead and eventual game-winner. Five minutes later, Neikrie found himself on the receiving end of a deflected shot from Ardit Zhuta ‘24, and put it away with his left foot. KO continued their control of possession in the second half, and in the 70th minute Daigle earned a brace on another deflected shot, this time from Pratt Blair ‘26. Not to be outdone, Neikrie converted on his own brace in the 82nd minute, on an assist from Kaden Rodriguez ‘25. Defender Max Daigle ‘26 saved a goal at the line to aid the shutout for Will Slayton ‘24 and Sawyer Burtman ‘26. 

The 6-1-1 Wyverns continue a busy week with a contest at Greenwich Country Day School on Monday, October 16th.
