JV Girls Soccer
The girls jv soccer team opened the season with a tough 1-0 loss to a well coached, disciplined Porters team on Wednesday.
The wyverns worked hard and created chances for themselves in the Porters defensive end but could not convert their chances into goals. On the defensive side they held Porters without a shot on net in the first half. In the second half, both teams had chances to score and Porters made good on one of their opportunities with 15 minutes left in the game to go up 1-0. The new wyverns Annabelle Jacobs ’23, Tess Chapman ’23, Noelle Wilkes ’23, and Sattah Pouthakoun ’23 all played significant roles in their first game of the season. Volunteer Goal keeper Cai Kuivila ’20 played well in net making some significant saves in the second half to keep the game close.
