Tie 1-1

The varsity girls soccer team traveled to Pomfret on a cool and cloudy Saturday and came home with a 1-1 tie. Our wyverns found the goal first early in the game but the griffins came back with a goal of their own off a corner. At the half the score was 1-1 where it remained for the rest of the game. Overall our players controlled the possessions throughout the game with multiple nice runs at the goal especially in the second half when we ramped up our intensity and put a lot of pressure on the griffins defense. The griffins held strong preventing our wyverns from scoring the go ahead goal. The effort of our wyverns was tremendous and every player had time on the field and an impact on the game.
